Aneerudha Paul [Director]
Aneerudha is an Urban Designer who has studied for his B. Arch at the University of Calcutta , and MArch in Urban Design at the School of Planning and Architecture, Delhi . He has been the coordinator of the Research and Design Cell, KRVIA for the Mill Lands Project and the Eastern Waterfronts projects. He also led the project team for Mumbai at the Century Cities Exhibition at the Tate Modern, London , 2001. He has been teaching at KRVIA since 1993, and has been instrumental in formulating the Urban Studies, Environmental Design and Theory of Design progammes courses there. He has presented papers on urbanism and pedagogy at various locations including Mumbai, Calcutta , Delhi , London , Rotterdam , Chicago , Hong Kong and Canberra .
Rohan Shivkumar [Dy.Director]
Rohan is a practicing Architect and has studied at L.S. Raheja College of Architecture, Mumbai for his GD Arch. and at the University of Maryland , USA for his Masters in Regional and International Studies in Architecture. He has worked as Project coordinator for the Churchgate Revival project and the Tourist District project with the UDRI and studies concerning Slum Rehabilitation and open space regulations with groups concerned with development in Mumbai. He was part of the Heritage Listing project with the UDRI, a project by the heritage committee of the MMR-HCS. He has written for A+D, IAB and Art India magazines, and is currently also coordinator of the Research and Design Cell of the KRVIA. He has been teaching since 1997, and is involved in the Design and Theory of Design courses in KRVIA. He also conducts an elective based on Architectural Theory at KRVIA.
Ainsley Lewis [HOD, B.Arch]
Ainsley is an Architect from CEPT, Ahmedabad where he was awarded a Gold medal for his work. He has also completed his M.Arch from Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute for Architecture. He has studied at the ETH Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich. He firm has won several awards including the IAB Young Architects Award for 2000, the AKESI School competition at Vapi, and recently, the Jindal Award for Innovation in the use of Stainless Steel, in 2004. He has been teaching in KRVIA since 1996, and now he is working as a Full Time faculty in KRVIA.
Kausik Mukhopadhyay [Asst. Professor]
Kausik is an artist who has completed his Bachelor of Visual Arts from Rabindra Bharati University , Calcutta and MFA from Viswa Bharati University , Santiniketan, 1989. He held a Fellowship at Kanoria Centre for Art, CEPT, Ahmedabad, 1990-91 and the Fellowship of Artists working in India , Inlaks Foundation, 1994-95. He is teaching since 1996. His exhibited work includes "Chairs, Assisted ready-mades at the century Cities Exhibition of the Tate Modern, London 2001, 'Art on The Move' for SAHMAT, New Delhi , 2001. Recent exhibitions include Diverge at NGMA, Mumbai 2004 and Age of Desire at Perth , Australia .
Rupali Gupte [Asst. Professor]
Rupali holds a B.Arch. degree from the Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute of Architecture (KRVIA), Mumbai and a Master of Architecture degree with a major in urban design and minor in architectural theory and criticism from Cornell University, New York. She is a recipient of the 2003 Richmond Harold Shreve Award at Cornell University. She has been a fellow at the KRVIA and at the SARAI New Media Initiative, New Delhi. She has worked with the Design Cell KRVIA, Charles Correa Associates, the Urban Design Research Institute (UDRI), Kohn Pederson Fox, New York and has been a consultant to the Eritrean Government for preparing a Comprehensive Plan for Mendefera city. She has been invited to speak on architecture and allied disciplines in various international forums. She has taught at the KRVIA and Cornell University.
Sonal Sundararajan[Asst. Professor]
Sonal has done her B.Arch. from the Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute of Architecture (KRVIA) and M. Arch. (Urban Design) from School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. She currently faculty for the Masters program (Urban Design) at the institute since September 2007. She is also involved in research projects in the Research and Design Cell of the Institute.
Vikram Pawar [Asst. Professor]
Vikram is an architect from Pillai College of Architecture, Mumbai University. As a designer, Co designer, design consultant and assistant he has worked on several projects. As a design consultant for Central Control Centre- Utility Building in Jamnagar, for Reliance, PEB structures for RGTIL (Gas pumping station), Residential Apartment at Carmichael Road, Mumbai. Presently, he is teaching at KRVIA since 2006. He is involved with subjects of construction. He is currently pursuing his Masters in Architecture from Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute for Architecture.
Jamshid Bhiwandiwalla [Asst.Professor]
Graduate from the Sir JJ College of Architecture, Mumbai, further has a double Post Graduation in General Architecture and Arts ( Ancient Indian Culture) from the Mumbai University. Other than specialising in Indian History, he has had a 12 year teaching experience of guiding students in technical subjects such as Building Construction and Services. Having participated earlier in various Foreign Exchnge Programmes both in France and Italy, he has as joined the Institute for the above subjects since June 2011. Further his professional expertise centres around Conservation and Restoration particularly to his numerous community amenities like Firetemples, community halls and convalescent homes in Mumbai and has also curated exhibtions for the Sir Jamshetji Jejeebhoy and Dadabhai Naoroji Memorial Museum at Navsari and the Zoroastrian Information Centre at Udvada, a Gujarat Govt. funded initiative.
Ms. Minal Yerramshetty [Asst. Professor]
'Mrs. Minal Yerramshetty has completed her G.D.Arch from L.S. Raheja school of Architecture and is currently pursuing her Masters in Urban and Regional Planning. she worked with Mr. Pendse And Pathare for four years on architectural project especially high rise and since then is practicing. she has been teaching at this school for 4 years now in Building Services, Climatology and interior design.'.
Ms. Shweta Wagh [Asst. Professor]
Ms. Shweta Wagh has completed her B.Arch form J.J.college of Architecture in 2001 and Masters in Urban Design from Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute for Architecture in 2009.
Ms. Kimaya Keluskar [Asst. Professor]
Ms. Kimaya Keluskar has completed her B.Arch from Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute for Architecture and she has also completed M.Sc in Environmental Design and Engineering from Bartlett School of Architecture, UK. Currently she is working with Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute for Architecture as a Full time faculty.
Ms. Ginella George [Asst. Professor]
Ms. Ginella George has completed her B.Arch With Distinction from “Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University “ and M. Arch from “Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute for Architecture”, Mumbai University. She was NASA designee of college for year 2004 and NASA Unit Secretary of college for year 2005. Currently she is working with Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute for Architecture as a Full time faculty.
Mr. Shirish Joshi [Asst. Professor]
Mr. Shirish Joshi has completed his B.Arch from CEPT University in 2005. After which he was working with Ahmedabad Heritage centre till 2007. He has a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from The City College of the City university of New York. Currently he is a full time faculty in KRVIA. His experience span across five years in Urban Conservation, Urban Sustainability and Urbanism.
Ms.Mamata Patwardhan aaaaaaa
Ms. Mamata Patwardhan graduated from Sir J.J. College of Architecture in 1993. Her work experience varies from Landscape, Conservation as well as Town Planning for Kormangala, Bangaluru. She enjoys teaching Graphics, Working Drawing and Professional Practice
Manoj Parmar [HOD, M.Arch Urban Design]
Manoj is an Architect who holds a B.Arch from the L.S. Raheja College of Architecture, and M.Arch from the University Of Miami, Florida. He has built several projects and has participated in several major Architectural competitions including the Indira Gandhi National Centre for Art, 1988 and the Shilp Gram competition, 1984. He has presented his work at the Young Architect's Forum, UDRI, and has been with KRVIA since 1992, where he is a part of the Design and Theory of Design courses.
Vikas Dilawari [HOD, M.Arch Urban Conservation]
Vikas Dilawari is a practicing conservation architect. He has completed his G.D.Arch from L.S Raheja School of Architecture, Mumbai and M.Arch (Architectural conservation) from School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. He also holds a M.A in Building Conservation from Institute of Advanced Architectural Studies, University of York, UK. He has worked on several national and international projects as conservation architect. He is associated with KRVIA as a Part Time Professor and HOD for Masters in Urban Conservation program..
Salim Dhanani [Asst. Professor]
Mr Dhanani has been associated with this institute since December 2004. He has completed his B.E. (Civil). He teaches Bye Laws. He is associated with B & C Department, State PWD, Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai, Hiranandani Developers, liaisoning work and co- ordination of engineering matters.
Ms. Aparna Surve [Asst. Professor]
Ms. Aparna Surve is an Architect and Industrial Designer having her practice in Mumbai since 1995. She has done her B.Arch.from Sir.J.J.College of Architecture and Master of Design in from Industrial Design Center, IIT, Mumbai. She has authored’ Design and planning guidelines for streetscapes of Mumbai’, published by MCGM. She has designed and executed, public space renewal plan for Kala Ghoda Art District. She has received ’Midday Award’ for Street furniture and ‘Best Design Award’ by Meso international for Cosmetic Packaging.
She has conducted Architectural Design studios at Sir.J.J.College of Architecture, BMS College Bangalore and IDEA College, Goa. She has been teaching as part time Assistant Professor at KRVIA from 2009 and has been part of Architectural Design Studio and Dissertation. At KRVIA, she is pursuing her research on rural context of Goa, as part of ‘Rural Studio’ programme.
Mr. George Jerry Jacob [Asst. Professor]
Mr. George Jerry Jacob has completed his B.Arch from IES College, Mumbai University and M.Arch from “Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute for Architecture”, Mumbai University. He was a NASA secretary from IES College of Architecture during 2004. He has worked on various residential and industrial projects and also individually practising Architecture. Currently he is working with Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute for Architecture as a Part time faculty.
Ms. Sarah George-Varghese [Asst. Professor]
Ms. Sarah George-Varghese has completed her M.A. in Politics from “Mumbai University”. Currently she is working with Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute for Architecture as a Part time faculty for Humanities.
